A self-produced creative campaign combining songwriting, music video, photography, advertising, and social storytelling around our debut album, Tales from a Therapist's Couch.

Project Overview
Tales from a Therapist’s Couch is an album I created with my wife, Emilee, as part of our band. Built around the real conversations, struggles, and emotions we worked through in therapy before getting married, the project follows different parts of that journey through each song. Together, we shaped the full creative world around the album, from the concept and storytelling to the visuals, music video, photography, social content, and promotional materials. Produced by Sam Pura and Theresa Brown at The Panda Studios over several years, the goal was to make the release feel like one connected creative experience rather than just a collection of songs.

The Creative Challenge
Creating the music video for “I Can’t Think” was one of the most ambitious parts of the entire album project. I didn’t want it to feel like a typical performance video. I wanted it to exist in its own strange, dark, theatrical world while still connecting back to the larger story of Tales from a Therapist’s Couch. Looking back, the bigger challenge was honoring the very real events and emotions behind our songs without portraying them too literally. The goal was to translate those feelings into art, while at times comedic, that captured the weight of the song while still leaving room for interpretation.

This project became the culmination of everything I had learned creatively up to that point. I'm incredibly proud of the art Emilee and I were able to create, especially with the limited resources we had in front of us.
